Barista Challenge

Last October 30th the 15th Barista Challenge was celebrated at “La sitja” in Fornells de la Selva.

This time we participated with 2 students from Olivar Gran High School, Ruben Perez from 2nd course of Serveis en Restauració and Pau Blanca From the first course.

They made one month of intensive training after scheduled classes to prepare this challenge, with amazing results.

Ruben Perez was the winner!

You should consider that these students have just started the Barista training (Barista is the professional and specialist in coffee elaborations), this specialization is one of the new and difficult branches in barman professionalizations, like cocktail specialist or Sommelier.

We also find a former student of Olivar Gran High School who participated in the 2016 Barista Challenge and finished in the second position, Grau Quintana.
